Programme Overview

Our participants explored how energy transformation is shaping lives across the region. Through high‑impact workshops, policy discussions, and visits to organizations driving Malaysia’s sustainability agenda, participants gained firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges of the shift toward inclusive and equitable energy solutions.

A core feature of the edition was community field engagement. Participants met with groups directly affected by energy transformation efforts, documenting lived experiences using ethical interviewing and digital storytelling techniques. Supported by professional training and studio sessions at The Fourth, the teams produced mini‑documentaries and digital content that elevated authentic voices from the ground.

By the end of the week, participants left with a deeper understanding of Southeast Asia’s energy dynamics, sharpened research and storytelling skills, and new collaborations across borders, cultures, and disciplines. The edition reinforced Y4S’s mission to empower youth to shape a more inclusive and resilient energy future.
