Global Green Growth Week Conference

In October 2024, the Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) team participated in the Global Green Growth Week Conference in Seoul, Republic of Korea, which brought together global leaders and innovators to accelerate green growth in developing and emerging economies. Hosted by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the conference addressed pressing challenges such as economic uncertainty, climate disasters and policy transitions while advancing the Paris Agreement and Net Zero pledges.

The Youth Forum featured an engaging panel discussion titled ‘Unleashing Youth Power: United Action, Global Impact.’ The session spotlighted the transformative role of young leaders in global sustainability efforts, with a focus on Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S). It showed how Y4S empowers youth to lead grassroots initiatives, foster global collaboration and harness AI to tackle environmental challenges.

The discussion also emphasized youth entrepreneurship as a cornerstone of sustainable economic growth. The event set the stage for deeper conversations around innovation and youth-led solutions in the lead up to COP29.
